Day 6 at the CoP Winter School 2014 in Homburg, and unfortunately my last day, as I will travel towards Heidelberg tomorrow!
A couple of students took exams today, the others rehearsed for the big concert tomorrow night at the youth hostel! Band practice again this afternoon, last details such as line-up sorted out, before tonight’s recital given by PM Dougie Murray, one of Scotland’s top players! I wouldn’t have missed it for the world, thank you Dougie, what a great performance it was! And just in case you are in the Homburg area tomorrow night, don’t miss the big concert at the youth hostel! You will love it!
I’ll be off by then, playing with my band, The Heidelberg & District Pipes and Drums (www.hdpd.de), our hdpd Burns Night 2014 … but that’s another story!
Thank you everybody at the College of Piping Winter School 2014, thank you once more Rolf Obliers and his team for making the impossible possible, and thanks everybody following this blog.
Stay safe …
